What Are You Looking At?

"What Are You Looking At?" is a visual exercise. In it a snowy landscape is seen through a red grid. Though the colours are different, the values and the size are close so one field doesn't dominate the other. The viewer's eye and brain choose which to focus on. Some viewers see only the landscape. Some see only the grid. Some slide back and forth between the two. The painting has finished edges so can be displayed framed or unframed.
Where it's been: "What Are You Looking At?" is a new work completed in 2023.
