Summer ice in Rankin Inlet. Two men step carefully, attempting to maintain balance on the majestic melting ice floes. Nancy Bennett is a self-schooled artist. She works in oils on large wood panels, building scenes and skies in layers, both obvious and implied. She exhibits her work regularly in group and solo exhibitions. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections in Canada and internationally. Nancy is a member of The Artists’ Network and CARFAC and is co-founder of Four Corners Studio Collective and a member of the Labatt Studio Group of Artists.
Where it's been: "Tread Lightly" is a new work, completed in 2019. It has been included in the AGO's 2021 online exhibition "Portraits of Resilience".
